Glasses Favorite Scrapbook

The story behind Lily’s glasses. Well worth a digital scrapbooking page. Journaling: You got glasses. When? How? What? Yep, glasses! Fake glasses. Actually without glass! Here is how it all happened. Each day you see me put on my glasses when I start working at my computer, reading a magazine or doing something crafty. You wanted to imitate Mami and grabbed my glasses. Obviously I was not very fond of this idea and told you not to do so. ‘But I want to be like you Mami’ you told me ‘So I need glasses.’ How to explain the necessity of real glasses versus no glasses to a 4 year...

Lily’s World Favorite Scrapbook

My most recent layout is also my favorite layout at the moment. As I was scrolling through iphoto I discovered these photos of my daughter Lily and I knew immediately that they needed to be scrapped. I like to take pictures as she plays. Not posed, just natural pictures of my kids in action. Journaling: Lily’s world is different. In Lily’s world Strawberry Shortcake knows how to drive heavy machines, is friends with Bob the Builder and speaks a mix of German, French, English and a touch of Luxembourgish. Ponies live in Lego constructions and small kids drive trucks, cars and trains....

Lullaby Favorite Scrapbook

Today’s favorite scrapbook is a very recent one and the fruit of yesterday’s digital scrapbooking mojo. I took this photo of Lily in April 2010 on an evening where she fell sound asleep on the couch after a busy afternoon dancing and jumping around. Before I took her up in her comfortable bed I HAD to take some pictures. The idea for this layout came to my mind as I was scrolling through my gallery on the lookout for THE perfect photo for the Free Gift: Unique Roses Paper I designed for the Happy to Create newsletter (available for limited time). Sleeping baby + roses +...

Favorite Toy Favorite Scrapbook

Time for a favorite scrapbook. This picture of Lily aged 2 makes me smile. She still loves to play with the Lego with her brothers. We have added little Hello Kitty to the collection but the train is a real highlight. Cute! Journaling: Recently we have decided that it is time for you to inherit of your brothers’ Lego Duplo. When we opened the box we were all delighted to discover these little treasures that have been hidden for the last 2 years. Among all the cars, trucks, animals, small people … it is this little train with the clown and the cute elephant that you love most. No...

Haircut Favorite Scrapbook

A memorable moment … Lily cuts her beautiful long and curly hair. First she was shocked that I cut it off. But after the whole family told her how cute she looks now she is very happy with her new look. Journaling: After running some errands we came home and I quickly sat down at my computer to check my email. You were just a few meters away from me at the living room table and holding your crafting scissors in your hands you came to me and wanted to cut my bangs telling me that you had cut yours. I looked at you and felt a huge relief when I did not see anything special with your...
